Chris:- 17 walkers on Ashdown Forest on a route to arrive at The Airmans Grave in time to participate in the Remembrance Service. After the service we continued to Nutley and on into Sheffield Forest. We made our way back past Chelwood Vachery which when originally constructed had a series of terraces descending to a water garden and surrounding arboretum with rhododendron walks. Further water features comprised a spring-fed gorge with waterfalls and a chain of lakes which were constructed in the woodland from 1925 by the landscaper Gavin Jones
