LDWA South Downs Marathon

Sunday 12th May 2019.

c28 miles starting at East Dean village hall, near Eastbourne. Route goes via 3 of the Seven Sisters,  Cuckmere Haven, Exceat, West Dean, Litlington, Rathfinny, Norton CP2 (9.7 miles). Beddingham masts, Firle village hall CP3 (5.3 miles). Return via the South Downs Way to Alfriston and Plonk Barn CP4 (4.7 miles) and Jevington to the finish at East Dean (8 miles).

LDWA Sussex Stride

Part of the KSS Triple Challenge.

Saturday/Sunday 21st/22nd September 2019.

51 miles in 20 hours over the Sussex Downs from Longhill School, Falmer Road, Rottingdean, BN2 7FR.  OL25/EX122, LR198 GR362038.  Starts 10am.

Car park at start, drinks & light refreshments at most CPs, showers & meal at finish, certificate for all in-time finishers.  Cloth badge for sale.  Runners welcome.

The Kent, Surrey and Sussex (KSS) Triple Challenge is formed of three 50+ mile walks, the White Cliffs from the Kent group, the Surrey Tops and the Sussex Stride. These three events alternate over a three year cycle. In order to qualify for the KSS Triple Challenge badge and certificate entrants must complete all three events in the time allowed in consecutive years. Silver, Gold and Platinum certificates are awarded to those completing six, nine or twelve consecutive events. Completions are recorded and badges and certificates will be posted after the event.

Entry £23, £30 non-LDWA members.  No EOD or dogs.
