Chris Kennedy:- The walk, led by Tim Jury, on a cool and blustery day started from Pett Village Hall near Hastings and headed up onto the Hastings Country Park then on past Fairlight Church and over the Fire Hills before following a section of the 2018 Cinque Ports 100 route through to Pett Level past where Sussex LDWA manned the first checkpoint for that event.
Then we cut across flat grasslands to the shingle beach and swung round to enjoy a well earned lunch at The New Inn in Winchelsea.
Returned to Pett via an undulating walk through farmland, woods and along quiet country lanes.
17 walkers plus a very well behaved but energetic Labrador named Nelson enjoyed a great days walking.
