Gillian:- The morning passed in a blur of misty hills, squelching mud and unforgiving
rain, so that we arrived at the pub like drowned rats! However, the kind
landlady took armfuls of our wet garments (once we'd struggled out of them)
and put them in the drier. Unexpectedly, the afternoon was dry and bright
with a silvery sheen in the sky as the sun broke through the clouds, and a
dramatic, angry sea with surging waves crashing into the sea walls as we
walked back through salt spray to Roedean car park. Good to have 4 new
members on the walk. Thanks to Joan for leading the walk and keeping our
morale up in the morning.
